Hey all.
OK, so I'm switching mobile carierss and going to T-Mobile.
I previously had AT&T but they were charging waaaaaay too much.
Anyways, so, I've decided to switch OS platforms as well and going to Android.
For Android users, what's the best phone in your opinion?
I had time to play around with the Samsung Galaxy and I don't like it that much.
Any other suggestions?
Also, I played around with the HTC1, so I know that one but want to get to see other options too.
Suggestions?

and don't worry about the T-Mobile thing unless you're using T-Mobile or know of phones that specifically run on T-Mobile. If you don't that's fine, I'll take any suggestions you got and just look them up, and that way I can narrow the list down on my own based on personal preferences/cariers, etc, I'm just asking because I want to know what phones people have been using.

I'm happy with my Samsung S4 mini Telorion phone. I haven't tried any others.

I have a Moto G. Admittedly I have only had it for about two weeks, but I really REALLY like it.

Also, Moto G doesn't have as much bloatware as the Samsungs or HTCs have.

depends on your budget, Moto E or Moto G both great choice for an entry level phone. The
Nexus 5 is also good, if you have some money to spare. Then of course, you got the
Samsung range, and also HTC range. It is really, comes down to what is your budget,
what you need, bigger screen etc.

also know that if you go the HTC1 m8 root your going to need to install a home screen like eyes-free shell so you can get your wyfi and carier status. I do not know why HTC feels the need to skinn there device from sunday to next Monday. When there done, if any testing is done via talkback someone needs to edgucate them. So lets start with skin, LG G2, works well after you turn off quick swipe and LG G3 is accessible too as well. Next, the soney phones experia 2 and 3 there skin works well with talkback and sorta feels like stock android. Last, something everyone knows after listening to "that android" show, the galaxy S4 and S5 along with Galaxy note III and II. The Moto X, Moto G and E. My phone the nexus5 which runs kitKat out of the box and will get android-L when it exits beta. :) I am the crazy dork here so I said Frak it and flashed android-L dev version so I could see what all the hipe is about with android-L. If your interested go see my android-l board.

Since you say you want to switch I assume you were using iOS previously? Have you considered getting your iPhone from ATT unlocked and taking it to t-mobile? With t-mobile you pay for the phone and service seporitly so could take your att phone over. Depending on your area you may not get great data speeds but this may or may not matter to you depending on how much you are on wifi. Although I have not used one I would go with Kate on the Moto G if budget is a concern. If you can justify spending $600 on an iPhone and keeping it for three years I would stick with iOS instead of a high end phone such as a Galaxy S5. For more info on my thought processes see the blog post I wrote comparing iOS and Android.

Hey, thanks. Yeah, budget was a concern in part. .
I took a look at the Moto G but didn't really like it that much, so decided to get the Nexus 5, which was around $300 or so.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

I have the nexus5 love that device. Like I said my reasons for flashing android-L pre-view was pure self intrest. It was not because I had to to find the greatest accessibility.

I realize you have already gotten a Nexus, but just wanted to chime in here. A couple of months ago, I took the plunge and bought a Sony Xperia Z2 on amazon. I adore the phone and, as it's Sony's latest and greatest, complete with stereo speakers, I won't need to upgrade for a while. It still has the numbers being illongated when you are in a call problem. A friend helped me figure out a way around that by using a blue tooth keyboard to dial numbers. We figured out, with further testing of the Sony Z and Z1S, that the number issue is an issue with the upgrade to Jelly bean 4.3 and higher. it's not a phone issue, as I previously thought. It's some kind of problem with talkback and devices running 4.3 and higher. I have reported this to Sony and was given a fix to try on my phone which was supposed to work. My best friends' husband tried downloading the patch and it made the problem much, much worse, not better. So, I would encourage any of you who care about accessibility to help by reporting this issue to Sony. Any phone running 4.3 and higher has the issue of numbers sticking while in a call, with talkback enabled. Only with some of us clammering at them to fix it, will they listen. Other than that, as previously stated, I adore my phone. I've considered doing a Podcast on it, since no one else I know of has a Sony phone. Applications from Sony work wonderfully with Talkback and there are so many things I can customize, it blows my mind!!
Take Care,
Dawnielle
